Foot orthotics are prescribed by podiatrists to alter forces that may be causing pain or restricing function. There are a many different types of orthotics, and a range of different conditions for which orthotics are an effective treatment option. As each person and condition are different, being assessed by a trained podiatrist will ensure you achieve the best outcome.

Custom made orthotics
We create premuim orthotic devices by using laser scanning to obtain 3D models of your foot. Software then allows us to fabricate orthotics that are customised to you and your specific goals.
Prefabricated orthotics are a generic, "over-the-counter" type orthotic that we fit to the size of your foot. We have a variety of high quality prefabricated orthotics, which your podiatrist will be able to provide based on your condition, and goals.
Custom made orthotics
Custom made orthotics can be made from a variety of materials for a range of conditions. We use a laser scanner that creates a 3D model of the feet, which is then combined with a presciption that is based on the podiatrist's biomechanical assessment.
Fitzroy Foot and Ankle Clinic have years of experience prescribing custom made orthotics, and can customise the orthotics based on specific footwear, activities, and your own personal goals.
